Westfield Seafood is a retail fresh fish market which also offers shellfish, prepared foods, takeout lunches and dinners and sells wholesale to other fish markets, restaurants and caterers.
The business, which originated as Bivona Fish Market in 1914, is located next to the southside Westfield train station at 220 South Avenue West and has been owned and operated since 1984 by Vince Bruns. His daily 3am visits to the Fulton fishmarket in New York City bring a wide everchanging selection of the freshest fish from around the world to Westfield each day.
Open Monday to Saturday, 10am to 7pm, and Sunday, Noon to 5pm.
Closed New Year’s Day, Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas, and maybe December 26 if they’re tired, but otherwise they’re always there.
