The Parking Services Westfield Parking MapDivision of the Westfield Police Department is ready to assist you with parking requests in the Town of Westfield. Whether to place your name on the waiting lists for commuter/employee parking, issue permits for commuter and residential parking, purchase Smart Cards or tokens, purchase meter bags, or file for a dumpster permit, the Parking Services Division provides valuable services to Westfield residents, businesses, and visitors.

Convenience

As part of the Town of Westfield's commitment to making you and your customer's parking experience as convenient as possible, you may have noticed recently that new pay stations have been installed in all municipal parking lots and along South Avenue.

Payment Options

These new multi-space pay stations replace outdated and service-prone machines and provide easier and more convenient payment options. These options include:

  • Debit card
  • Payment by coin
  • Phone app
  • Smart Cards
  • Token

The machines have electronic, easy-to-read displays, and instructions.

The Town of Westfield offers a variety of permits for commuters, employees, and residents as well as daily parking permits.

Adding Time to Pay Stations

You may add time to your parking space to the designated maximum time allowed from any pay station in town (not to exceed the maximum posted limit). Follow instructions on the pay station.

Daily Parking Permits

Daily parking (hangtag) permits are available on a first-come-first-served basis to Westfield residents in Lot Number 3 for $5 per day. The Parking Services officer arrives at 6:45 am and leaves when the available daily permits are sold. If the daily hangtags are sold out, the officer will turn on their overhead vehicle lights and remain in the lot for about 15 minutes afterward in order to direct patrons to numbered spaces. Please have proof of residency ready for the officer.

Loading Zones are located on:

  • Central Avenue
  • E Broad Street
  • Elm Street
  • Prospect Street
  • Quimby Street

Free Parking

The Town of Westfield offers the following free parking options:

  • Free parking in permit spaces after 10 am in Lot Number 3 (South Avenue Train lot).
  • Free parking is available on Saturdays in Lots Number 6, Number 8, and Lot Number 3 at non-numbered, non-metered permit spots, and at orange bagged employee permit spaces on Orchard Street, Elm Street, and Ferris Place
  • Employees are encouraged to use Lot Number 3 and Lot Number 8 on Saturdays and Sundays.
  • Downtown Westfield always offers free parking in all spaces on Sundays.

Bicycle & Moped Parking

Bicycle and moped parking racks are available for free use at Lot Number 3 (Southside train station) and Lot Number 2 (Northside train station). Westfield bike racks are also available at the entrances to Parking Lot Number 1, and near the Information Kiosk on Central Avenue and E Broad Street.

Purchase Parking Tokens & Parking Smart Cards

Parking tokens and parking smart cards may be purchased at the Office of Parking Services. Parking tokens can be purchased for 50¢ each. Refillable parking smart cards may be purchased ranging in value from $20 up to $250. Smart cards can be refilled at select pay station machines and at the Office of Parking Services.
