Save the Reeve House!
One of the most exciting possibilities for us
to contemplate is that at some future date the Reeve House at 314 Mountain Avenue will become the permanent home of the Historical
Society. When that happens our ability to serve the Town of Westfield will dramatically increase.
The home was bequeathed to the Town of Westfield by Mr. Edgar Reeve, Sr. upon the condition that his
son could live in the house until his death.
Mr. Reeve died in mid 2002. Since
that time, the Historical Society and town are discussing the needs of the
society and how the Society can possibly use the house for archives, events,
and preservation of the 100+ year old home.
If you’d like to join the Society in its
efforts to “Save the Reeve House”, please contact us 789-4047.
