Downtown Westfield Corporation Economic Committee
Call to volunteer today!
Downtown Westfield is one of the 26 main street communities in New Jersey. The Downtown Westfield Corporation uses the Main Street ApproachTM that was developed by the National Trust's National Main Street Center in 1980 to assist downtown revitalization efforts nationwide. Four elements create this program: Organization, Economic Restructuring, Design and Promotion.
Economic Restructuring involves analyzing current market forces to develop long-term solutions. Recruiting new businesses, creatively converting unused space for new uses, and sharpening the competitiveness of Main Street's entrepreneurial merchants are examples of economic restructuring activities.
Economic committee meetings are usually the 4th Thursday of the month at 7:30 pm (except in 2011 - April, November and December are the 3rd Thursday at 7:30 pm). These dates are subject to change depending upon availability of the volunteers.
