A Communication Hub
The site www.westfieldtoday.com
is sponsored by the Downtown Westfield Corporation with the intent
to provide a communication hub for the people of Westfield as well
as for the people who work and shop in Westfield, and others who
are interested in the town. The
site is a tapestry of contributions from people throughout the
town.
To
this end, any business, non-profit organization, sports team, or
children’s group located in Westfield New Jersey may create a
listing on the site by becoming a member. There are currently over 286 member
listings on the site.

Getting
Information from WestfieldToday
In
addition to providing a framework for sharing information, the
site also provides a number of ways of getting information from
the site in a timely fashion.
Each listing owner has the option to include a link called
“Add Me to Your Mailing List” on their site.
If visitors would like to receive more information from the
owners of a particular listing, they may opt to become
a subscriber to the WestfieldToday site, and their
email address will be added to the mailing list of that member
only.
Subscribers
may choose one or more sites of interest, allowing them to tailor
their requests to suit their needs.
Subscriptions can be changed or deleted at any time using
the Subscriber portion of the website. For more details, see the Subscriber
Site Page.
Member
Sites
These
member sites may use the Member Update portion of this site to
create and maintain their listing.
Listings can be changed at any time by the members and
members are responsible for the contents of their own site.
The
listings include the name, location, a description and relevant
reach information for the listing, as well as the option to
provide a photo or image. Members
may also upload images, documents, menus, coupons, and other files
as needed by their readership.

We
want our users to always be aware of any information we collect,
how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we disclose
it.

Collection and Use
We
respect each site visitor’s right to personal privacy. To that
end, we collect and use information throughout our website only as
disclosed in this privacy policy.
The information we collect is:

order to view this website, visitors and/or members are not
required to complete our registration form.
However, in order to create and maintain a listing or
become an email subscriber, visitors must register.
During
registration a user must give certain contact information, but we
never sell or give away this information. It is only gathered to
contact the user about services on our site for which s/he has
expressed interest.
Indeed
email address are collected from subscribers only
for the purpose of adding their names to mailing lists
of member listing, as
per the user’s request.
User’s names are added only to the mailing lists they
specifically request and the user may remove themselves from one
or more member mailing lists using the same form at any time.
A user’s email address is provided only to the listing as
requested and not shared with other listing members.
There
are two exceptions to this rule:
· When a user becomes a subscriber (so they can add their name to the mailing lists of listings), they are automatically added to the subscriber mailing list, for the purpose of alerting subscribers to changes in the site, and messages from the webmaster.

When
a user becomes a member (so they can create and maintain a listing
on the site), they are automatically added to the member mailing
list, for the purpose of communicating new services, announcements
and changes in the site to all the members.
