Thanks to Keller Williams Realty Inc., David Williams of Williams Nursery, and the Downtown Westfield Corporation, the North Avenue Train Station has a new rose garden.
The Westfield office of Keller Williams Realty celebrated National Red Day, (Renew, Energize, and Donate) by funding and planting 50 Double Knock-Out Red Roses bushes.
“We chose plant materials that could easily be maintained and sustained for many years to come,” adds David Williams who also provided plantings for Keller Williams to plant in downtown Summit . “Our goal is for the roses to bloom yearly with as little maintenance as possible by the Department of Public Works. We appreciate the efforts of the Town of Westfield Department of Public Works in preparing the garden area before Keller Williams planted it.”
“RED (Renew, Energize and Donate) Day is a Keller Williams Realty service initiative dedicated to improving local communities. With 700 offices across the United States and Canada, Keller Williams Realty associates donated their time on May 13, 2010 to renewing and energizing aspects of their local communities” stated Amy Tenny, Team Leader and Managing Broker of the Westfield office.
“We’re grateful to Keller Williams. They worked with us and had the vision to enhance our North Avenue Train station.” said Sherry Cronin Executive Director of Downtown Westfield Corporation. “This project is part of our America in Bloom project (locally known as the Westfield in Bloom initiative). These knock-out roses are beautiful and should be in bloom just in time for the judging of ‘The America in Bloom’ Contest scheduled take place on July 12 and 13.”
