Westfield, NJ/ February 2, 2010 -- Weichert, Realtors announced Harvey Tekel of the Westfield office was named Manager of the Year for the region for 2009. The award recognizes and honors individuals who have demonstrated exceptional management skills and led their office to achieve outstanding results in 2009. The region consists of more than 20 offices throughout Warren, Hunterdon, Somerset, Union and Mercer Counties and the Lehigh Valley area in Pennsylvania.

In 2009, the Westfield sales team helped numerous families and individuals realize their dreams of homeownership by providing informed sales associates, customized marketing plans and by offering clients financial and moving-related assistance through Weichert Gold Services.

Tekel joined Weichert in 1996 and was named a manager in 1999. He is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Westfield office which specializes in providing high quality real estate services to clients in Union, Essex, Middlesex, Morris and Somerset Counties.
