The Jimmy Fund Auction at Jay’s Cycle Center in Westfield, NJ on June 11, 2011 raised $ 11,000 for cancer research at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. They auctioned off approximately 70 items.  100% of the proceeds from the auction go directly to the Jimmy Fund.  There were approximately 85 people in attendance at the event. The auction committee would like to thank all the generous donors for making a donation to the auction which will help find the cure for cancer.

Join Jay's Cycle Center for a Wine Reception and Auction on June 11th. Live and Silent Auction will feature complimentary wine tasting and cuisine from local restaurants, vintage wines, golf foursomes, gift certificates, gift baskets and other items donated by Westfield’s local merchants. The evening will also feature a 50/50 raffle and a chance to ring the bell at the New York Stock Exchange. Admission is free.

Four Westfield residents will be riding in the Pan Mass Challenge on August 6-7, 2011 which is the primary fund raiser for the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute’s Jimmy Fund. The riders are Ed Gallagher, Tony Cook, Bill Foley and Ed Carr.

 

The Pan-Mass Challenge (PMC) is the world’s largest bicycle fundraiser. In 2010 the PMC raised more than $33 million for cancer research and treatment at the Dana Farber Institute through its Jimmy Fund.
